The crash was called in at approximately 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19 in the 11200 block of Aden Road in the Nokesville area when the Norfolk Southern freight train collided with a work truck reportedly filled with sod.

One person suffered what is being described as life-threatening injuries and had to be airlifted to the hospital, while the other two victims are being treated and evaluated for less severe injuries.

According to the Prince William Times, the truck had just departed Kettle Wind Farm with a full load when it was struck by the train, sending sod flying throughout the area.
